Race 11 Yonkers

Not that I care but how does the 7 not get dq'd from 4th there?  Have they changed the rules?

I had to watch this twice.  How is this not a dq of the 7???  he went off the track and comes back in before the wire and stays up for 4th??  WTF but ummmm that's a really bad look.  New level of cheating at that track I suppose.  Nothing surprises me anymore at Yonkers.  But that was insane. Almost 15 min inquiry for a "no change"

He completely cut the corner while offstride and the 4 was lapped on. Very strange.  I didn't bet the super but if I had the 4 there I'd be pissed.

I was watching on tvg I said the samething how does the horse not come down. I didnt even bet the race but who knows what rules they have now, horses break -take out pylons-off the course and they leave them up. Meds monti buff sar Hoosier all different rules.

It seems anything goes at Yonkers.  But no doubt that 7 horse should have come down.  That basically says drivers can go inside and leave the track then come back in and hit the board and not be taken down.  Never seen that happen at any other track!  Most likely judges had a super ticket with that horse.  Still can't believe it.

different rules in different states

Mohawk has a dumb rule where if you are on a break for 25 strides thats a DQ--but 24 is ok

maybe they overlook the inside the pylons if they think it is a safety factor and there was an attempt to lose ground

we need uniformity on all pylon possible infractions-but we wont see it

30+ years invested in Harness racing and I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. In addition to what's been said the horse didn't lose an inch of ground while breaking.
I can't come up with any scenario where that horse isn't disqualified. That is ridiculous. You can literally use three different reasons for making a DQ. Extended break, failure to lose ground while on a break, leaving the course, gaining an unfair advantage by going inside the pylons...

And how about the 4 losing fourth by a nose...Lachance probably didn't even bother asking the 4 because it was a no-brainer that horse would be DQ'ed so he would be placed fourth anyway.

This reminds me of that time in 2008 at Western Fair where the 1/5 favorite is in the safety lane for the entire length of the stretch and wasn't DQ'd from first.

Owners went to court to get the purse money properly distributed but the bettors were pooched as per usual.

I was there that night. I may or may not have been the one who started the chorus" Bullshit...Bullsh it...Bullshit" as everyone in that section joined in to reverberate through the building.  hvc.1 hvc.1

this has been happening subtly and steadily for years, but now, after watching this race, the once proud Hilltop track has officially ---become an effin sewer. I don't want to hear talk about Montishitole or any other "B" track---whats being allowed by the judges is a joke. Hell, Judge Judy would do a better job. ...This old boys cronyism sterals money from the betting public.
Who do I see about that?
When they tear this track down, it wont be a day too soon....

It's a shame they haven't closed this dump down.   Should have went before Freehold.  That race last night should make it so people don't watch or Wager on races at Yonkers.  What that was last night was just bad.  Nothing else to say other than AVOID THIS DUMP!  I'd rather play Monti any day before Yonkers

Just watched the replay, if nothing else, he should have been DQ'd for cutting the corner turning for home which saved several lengths. What's their explanation, he didn't go inside any pylons, which is true, but that's because when he cut the corner there were no pylons to go inside. Have no idea what the blind judges logic was for leaving him up.
