No it wasn't, LOL. For a professional, some small factors that have changed over the course of 20 or 30 years, cumulatively, have made it much tougher. Then you have major factors. More tracks, overlap. ADW's, rebate shops, now CAW. Technology, both with wagering and racing. I made my bones on NY racing. There was a sharp crew of bettors back then and throughout the years. When the Meadowlands opened, most of the professionals from NY migrated there. But like I said, since the
80's and 90's the game has changed a great deal for the professional. I know there are far less professionals showing a profit year over year today than there used to be.
