Being a NYC guy, I always liked George Anthony (BigY) and Ken Warkentin (BigM), and Mohawk's Ken Middleton - great eyes on him, he's called out trotters switching to a pacing gate seconds before the wire that led to Dq's, and a soft, beautiful voice, kind of hypnotic.

Some of the best race calls in History, T-bred though, but everyone tried to load up there voice for ZENYATTA!

Sam McKee had all the right tools and was easy on the ears.I  don't think I ever heard Sam make wrong or  inconsistent blunders. He was the only announcer that I've ever seen go to the paddock and ask a driver or trainer for the correct pronunciation of their name if it looked like a tricky one.
