In the corporate world that wouldn't be allowed. They call it a monopoly which is why they have antitrust laws. In harness racing world it's still a monopoly which is bad for the sport and worst for the  little guy.

Burke is obviously a talented guy--however being able to dominate this sport-is not only bad for the little guy--it gets owners OUT of the Sport!!
With such large numbers--he gets all the best drivers-they team drive-giving some others in the race no chance. The betting changes-because of this BS-result? Handle drops-Sport suffers.  Burke now has over 20 trucks and trailers-employs close to 100--and is basically immune from drug testing--as so far-he is Teflon Ronny-gets out of all of them-thanks to his ability to outduel the commission at the Courts with $$$.
Burke needs to be reined in--IMHO.

He drives for Burke & Takter. Neither of them won a big race.

Not only that, look how he did in the other races. Celebrity Bambino off the board as the 2nd favorite in the Valley Victory, Strong Poison off the board as the heavy favorite in the Three Diamonds, and his two horses were beaten a combined 68 lengths in the Governor's Cup without either of them breaking!
