Get ready for the tent to be set up for the summer, hot dogs, and beer. Just like county fairs. Roll it up in the fall. Stand out side in the snow, oh nobody goes any way.

tear down didn't start until the sizzle of moving to Dayton started.  Then, kazoop, all of a sudden within a day, the backhoe and dozer arrived.  OSRC needs to oversee this purported grandstand work.  They stop the dozer, Ohio oughta ask why ?

Never raced at Roosevelt, but from what I read and heard it was.
Ask me about Sportsmans Park.
I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the tracks I have raced at that are now shopping malls.

Being a kid from NY , I’m sure we thought Roosevelt was the greatest , but I gotta tell you no matter what track you went to in the hey day until the mid 70’s , I’m sure almost every track no matter where the location was, seemed magical and had great racing.. I wish I got to see Chicago racing and Blue Bonnets or California racing in its hey day… Shoot my Monticello was wonderful to race at  in the summer meets of the 70’s.. now look at it..

All the tracks in NY were nice in the 60's and 70's now most look like shit holes, behind a casino. Monticello was great, cars lined up on 17B, Round Robin, Bon Vivant, Great Stables and drivers. Training track just as nice as main track. Those were the days

Have you ever been to Tioga ? I was there about 9 years ago and I gotta say it was actually pretty nice atmosphere on a summer Sunday .. Stands were nice and we enjoyed a nice day there.. Not sure if it’s still like that but I hope it is .

Raced there this summer.  Nice crowd in attendance when i was there.  I'm told the grandstand contains asbestos which was one of the factors holding up the destruction.
