If memory serves correctly, Benny was playing poker at the Harrah's Casino Horse Sale in Atlantic City.
After making several nice scores he purchased Flak Bait, who went on to make close to 900k.
Recalling that they paid like 16-17k for the horse.
One more Benny story, purchased a Cadillac which was a total lemon, took it and left it down town at the train station, unlocked motor running in the hopes it would be stolen and he could collect.
Next day the cops called and told him they found his car in front of the train station...outta gas

Great guy, would give you the shirt off his back. It was sad all his¨friends¨ wouldn´t piss on him if he was on fire for the last 20 years. Took a plane full of people to Nashville from Lexington to the grand old opera. He picked up the tab. Bernard was top shelf all the way, let´s stop at the Homestead for a drink or two. RIP my friend.
