Is it time for new leadership at WEG?
« on: May 05, 2021, 01:11:43 PM »
Jim Lawson and his $750,000 salary can't get us racing. Quebec is starting up. Ontario is not. USA racing balls to the wall.

Maybe WEG needs a leader with some political clout. Doesn't seem like Lawson is doing enough, or has any influence.

What happened to that gasbag Horner? He ran his mouth on social media. A huge crybaby too when someone disagreed with him.

I doubt they are paying him $750,000 to just be a front man.
If they are, and there is no racing, wouldn't it make sense to have a change?

Still not racing. Lawson has done nothing to solve this problem
Eventually we will race, when the government sees fit.

WEG is not putting up much of a fight because they don’t want to upset the apple cart as they are in the running to operate the single event sports betting platform that’s coming.
Lawson ain’t about to make enemy’s with parliament. He has eyes on the bigger prize

The plan since the 2013 decoupling in on Ontario has been to shrink the industry in half..leaving Woodbine/Mohawk/Western Fair and Flamboro operational..all others phased out,,3 harness tracks,1 thoroughbred track..Mr Dalton McGuinty(Lib) was the man behind the plan..he's a special kind of corruption.!!
