Pocono now cancels

PD didn’t start clearing track until Thursday.  Like Yonkers, another  track who doesn’t care about racing. Waiting so long now has track a mess.  Who’s in charge over there? Totally irresponsible.

Lets see maybe just maybe most local horse's are snowed in at farms? They did get two feet of snow. Ahhhh, what do I know!

Pocono had 30" of snow and temperatures which froze the track solid. Will take 2-3 days of sun hitting it to get it in racing condition--you can jog on it--but a racing surface is harder to get perfect. I was amazed they voted to start racing there earlier in the season-its really freezing up there jan feb--IMHO  start beginning of March-then go on till December.

Pocono used to start the season in mid to late March for that reason.

True story. I can remember back I the late 90's being at Hawthorne freezing during double cards
