some were not bad
lets check back in a month

Agreed.

I saw a few that looked fairly legitimate. Time will tell how they compare to the rest of the Freshmen crop

I will say this for The Stable.
The number of 2yos they start with, versus the number they have that at least get to the races, is QUITE high. They have a bunch qualifying tomorrow/Saturday north of the border too. I really wish I had the time and wherewithal to track some of the bigger trainers’ start rate but I will tell you, just on numbers alone they aren’t getting as many started.

I’ll venture to guess there are some that qualified today and this weekend that could do better with some time. But at least they’re getting there.

Northfield is by far the best half mile track that races day in fay out. Horses seem to float over this track and the times are pretty square. The stable sent out some decent stock that did well qualifing in early June. Plus with most being OH bred they will race over that track early on. Lets also be fair Chris Beaver stock doesn't Q over the half there so hard to judge over the top trot trainer in OH. With that said about some decent stock they will need it as the US base of 3 yr olds is dim on stake horses unless your counting the second tier buckeye or stallion. Not sure how the ONT group is coming. They better hope to have a few because its bern a few years since Lawmaker any 3 yr old has dine some damage on a stake level. Yes may have but he went on a tear at Yonkers as Erv trained. Time will tell in a few weeks if there is any there...there.

 Almost There Boss went his last half (Mohawk/Woodbine) in 101 after cutting the half in 56'4?

 Century Invictus went a huge mile (155'2)

Join me in rooting for Plop's own Horses First tonight at Hoosier.

Photo Image, well staked as a 2 year old last year, goes in a NW1 this evening.

Any in-the-money finish will catapult this 3 yo home bred over the $5,000 mark in lifetime earnings.

Good Luck
Well, let's all hope Horses First, aka Pigeon Jim, gives us an update soon on his buzzsaw homebred 3 yo Photo Image.

COSTS
* As 2/3 yo.. training costs ..20 months @$3,000/mo = $60,000
* Weaninling/yearling costs .... 12 months @$1,500/mo = $18,000
* Stakes payments in 3 states ... expert estimate ... $30,000
* Broodmare in foal expenses ... 10 months @ $1,200/mo = $12,000

$60,000 + $18,000 + $30,000 + $12,000 = $120,000 out of pocket

EARNINGS
Lifetime earnings are nearing the coveted $10,000 level

LAST SEEN - a week or so ago ,,,

 5    5/6H    5/7Q    5°/5    5/12H    4/17H   10.10

Getting beat 17.5 lengths most starts on the Midwest Chitlin Circuit will not deter our beloved Pigeon Jim as he grinds toward losing $200,000 on his cherished pet homebred.

Can't wait for Jimbo to break down some A-Mac costs, like he did on the $1.27 a month he pays for "excessive drone expenses."

Pigeon Jimbo Bafta ... they'll sing songs about you.

O biggest lie Calhoun isn't BLACK!!! Barn to Wire Terry also played the Mr I known everything always in the grill of posters. Your a FAKE Poon! You still wearing all that flannel you stinky old man. Now that I know who you are I'm sure the post will be taken down. I will just keep pointing out you old WHITE has been. Wish I can remember the stable you raced under in Chicago.
