Race Sec's running MLB?
« on: October 21, 2016, 03:40:17 PM »
Everyone loves a good sporting event.  However these 4 plus hour baseball games are wayyyyyyyyyyyy to long.  Is Doc Norsky or the race sec at Yonkers running the show for baseball.  To drag for concessions and ratings?  Like they do for handle.  Yesterday game 4:15(regular 9 innings) while someone noted today, every 4 minutes and 30 seconds is the average the ball gets into play.  I suppose into the field of play for either a out or a hit.  Who are they going to sign up for that the drug companies that sell ADHD med's.  Come on baseball don't take a page out of harness racing.

You are misinformed...the time between races at most harness tracks is governed by the mutuel department in concert with the judges upstairs,,,And on a night where a specific track is the only major signal on the transponder, the "Drag time" between races ins noticeably longer.....

It has already been thrashed about on occasion, with Northfield Park being the chief offender....
