The 20-30% Rake "per hand" is absolutely absurd.
If the card players in Vegas were told that the house is
taking 20-30% out of every hand of Hold em there would be
no one playing cards.
How about Baccarat....They tell you that the juice
on the "Bank" has been raised to 22% and the "Player"
22% as well on all winning wagers.
You would see the baccarat tables as kindling wood.
So why should horseplayers be "taxed" with an absurd
takeout per "hand".
I have stopped betting horses and now with the AI groups
like Elite etc...with all their rebates and computer systems
that let them place thousands of wagers in the last 10
seconds..as well as seeing the pools, no less.
The tracks are closing left and right..
Just the other day Aqueduct after 132 years in one of
the biggest markets in the world NYC.
If not for Gural..the Meadowlands is history.
Bottom line..they need to reduce the Rake to 5-8%
and if they cant or wont they will be out of business
in 5 years.
20-30% does not cut it anymore...
