The biggest beef was the Jocks room was turned into a restricted area,(no more friends and family allowed to enter). This is why "The dutys of  Scale Clerks"were questioned, because they were the ones policing this new rule.

A full time jockey valet seems deserving for an "A" track.  You're right though what irks them, it's definitely a leverage move.  It might even go deeper than that, where something big, underlying has not been discussed and can't be publicly.

Maybe the jocks want a bigger CAW profit, after all it is NYRA  ngc3

along with not allowing family into the jocks room--there was a system where weights were recorded both digitally and called out manually--and the guy in charge of weights didn't like it-so they sent him home

he was very friendly with the jocks

in addition-it was no coincidence they conducted race 1 then decided to protest--this was so everyone who works at the track gets paid for the day--most if not all valets and many other track employees are per diem

  • Sweet: Click on "My Messages", if you send someone a message click the box - "Save a copy in my outbox" and that will remain in your "Sent" folder.  No "Draft" feature but you could just send yourself what yo want to save like a book.
