Very active: Also drove the Maine circuit, Saratoga & Plainridge this season.

He was only a few wins behind ranger at plainridge this year. He drives first call for nickerson. He isnt hard on the horses but he gets them to go.

Good question Rainman. Also to consider is who will get the better stock. Sometimes I think harness racing is like NASCAR. The car (or horse in this case) makes the driver.  Athearn scored his 1,000th victory today at Freehold on a 20:1 shot. Congrats.

Athearn put on a show at Freehold and Meadowlands last night.  Very impressed. Him and Ahle are the next generation of top drivers.
