BREAKING: SORRY KEN! Trump pulls the rug out from under vile MAGA candidate Ken Paxton by funneling ALL of the funds from his big Texas fundraising visit to the national Republican Party instead of Paxton's campaign.
This is not what the cash-strapped ogre was hoping for...
According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, Paxton is struggling with dire fundraising problems. Democrat James Talarico, a superstar communicator and devout Christian, has raked in a staggering $68 million. Meanwhile Paxton — a serial adulterer who was impeached as state attorney general by his own party for accepting bribes — has pulled in just $9 million.
This past Thursday, Trump traveled to Houstin for a widely covered fundraising event. But if Paxton was hoping for a flood of cash into his war chest, he has been left sorely disappointed. Rather than routing the money to Paxton, Trump is dumping it into the Republican National Committee, which could ultimately decide to give very little or none at all to Paxton. According to the Journal, Paxton "needs the cash badly."
"Texas Republicans have challenges in the race. They are managing fury over the Trump administration bulldozing sensitive habitats in Big Bend National Park for border-wall infrastructure planned in the park," the Journal stated. "They have been navigating rising voter opposition, especially in rural areas, to construction of new data centers. They have seen backlash to a new state ban on some THC products. And they have continued to have to defend the state of the economy under Trump."
The irony for Paxton is that Trump's support is both his biggest asset within his own party and his biggest liability in the general election. MAGA will vote for him because their cult leader told them to but normal Texans are fed up with this failed presidency.
