It was the worst pileup I have ever seen. All the best to the brave drivers!

Way to risky of a job....better off being a trainer or find a real job. Gonna get banged up real bad. Way it's going it will die off big-time. They already said foals are down 40 percent since 2008. Last night race at Vernon total bet 7k. Hooe drivers ar3 ok..xouodntndave Miller of retired like ron pierce did etc

At minimum, these guys who don't have to drive cheap claimers, particularly pacers, ought not.

Merriman with five broken ribs and shatter shoulder blade will be out for many months. How long does it take to piece together your shoulder blade and rehab it so you can control a harness horse? Noble will win 85% of the races at Northfield throughout the summer. Dave Miller will be out for at least a year if he compounded his ankle. I know a couple of football players who did that and it is a bitch--and they were young bucks when it happened. You would think that would put him into retirement. That poor horse that had to go 54 to the half was so tired. Broke and then dragged his front leg into the track. Those drivers had to know they were going too fast for those horses. Plus having 16 races that drag to midnight has to be taxing on those drivers. It was a horrible mess.

I pray for the recovery of both horses and drivers.    It’s a sickness that I. You once you get your feet wet driving and winning races.    It’s in your blood    The ground is not soft  I’ve been there 5 times.   One I caused running of poor Ron Newhart.    Other 4 where from a horse going down and hooking wheels and getting dumped no fault of mine.   I admit one was and nobody got hurt or horses either.     I give my respect to anyone that sits behind a 1400 pound animal.   It’s a dangerous sport    So there’s a lot of young talent that waiting to take there place.  It’s next man up.  They all will be back Some sooner some later.    You can’t blame a trainer.   Horses catch shoes. Boots.  Hopplies break all can happen   Why you need new equipment all the time.   Christ I even seen bits break    So get well soon guys you will be missed     I’ve seen a lot worse     Hunter Myres death hitt me hard.
