Get at least one more zero

Just work with a vets and veterinary surgeons with a lot of wisdom that can even just look and make a sound educated guess, gain a reputation of where we can get leads from folks too (beyond visual and do other up close health inspections and testing) on horses needing the kind of care that the current connections can't do, won't do, didn't even know to do.

Tigger, what are you talking about?
There is no money in rehabilitating broken down horses, no matter how much smarter you think your wise vets and surgeons are.    Give your head a shake.

Speaking to SDST2009 he's (I assume a he) very sincere, very knowledgeable, respectful going back to his first posts here.  Talks straight too.

I'm winding down the gambling, I just don't enjoy it anymore.  I don't have the stamina, and obviously the results show that.

These are my conditions...

I'm in South Florida, let's say I'm alive in 2027, and I want to invest in harness racing $100k and never a penny more out of pocket, but profit, yes.  I'll likely have a home in NYC too before then.

Not in it for a hobby, but a business.

I'd like to spend more time learning about equine well being, more time on the farm around animals and those who care for them.  Seems very tranquil and the hand full of times in my life I enjoyed it.

If racing, I never want to race an unsound horse, must always be 100%.

If I own a race horse, I want it for life, it's family.

No unlawful drugs, no undetectable stuff.  No nonsense.

Maybe not racing, but breeding, or some other aspect, although racing seems the most exciting, but I have the patience for breeding too.

Lastly, part of my investment would be giving a (one free) junior partnership with i.e. trainer, breeder, vet, a very crucial person that we would share that common goal to win, be at profit and always look out  for the best interest of the horse(s).

Please tell me.  ;D
All I can say is that my two partners and I had a lot of fun in the "business". We never made antymoney but that's ok. We met some great people at Pompano Park. I remember sitting around the barn chatting with Joe Pavia Jr. And George Napolitano. Used to sit around eating marinated mozzarella balls from Del Preste market. LOL! Great memories! A lot of fun.  Just try to avoid the stupid mistakes we made. Instead of buying 4 cheap claimers, spend you money more wisely. And buy good stock. It's an expensive venture. Our Farrier, Mike Cable was great to us. Always explaining the types of shoes our stock were wearing. It was interesting watching him shod our horses. One thing I must suggest is get the vet costs up front. They were very expensive. And while they gave us "30 Day terms" to pay our bill, they add up fast. Many a owner was "churned out" by the vet bills. So I wish you the best of luck in the "game". I can't tell you who's honest or who's not. But Mike P. and rainman2 would be people i'd ask if I was "jumping in" and getting started. Have fun, enjoy, and ' shoot" me a winner every now and then.

Thanks Dougie for the history and advisement, recommendations too!  tmbz1

I don't imagine if it launches, many bills, nor any bills piling up, it'll get absorbed in a partnership arraignment with those professionals.

I'm not anxious, as patient as I need to be and have no problem pouncing if we're a go!  ;D

And remember that 'sage old adviise" from the movie Seabiscuit. You'll have to have 2 trainers in mind. Because you'll need one to "fire" LOL!

My horses were kept 30 minutes from my house. I loved going to the barn shoveling shit, feeding the horses, jogging them on the track. Racing was a bonus. I got tired of PoS likes Oakes crushing me with illegal drugs. I then quit racing until Faraldough allows for out of competition testing.

My horses were also about 30 minutes away at Pompan Park. We used to get there veryearly and watch the horses on the training track. I used to chat with trainers like Bill Popfinger, Tom Harmer, and Gordon Norris. It was so cool to talk with them. The experiences they told me about were so interesting. Pompano had a great "track kitchen" right in the paddock area. Was such a great experience being such a very "small part" of harness racing.

My horses are 30 minutes away and I value all of the same things you do.  (the people, the animals, the process)
Winning is a bonus and anyone thinking they have a "new", high success strategy to make money racing them, is living in lala land.

Hey tigger, I think GOAT may be your first investor.
How much will it cost him to get in on your broken down trotter, rehabilitation company?

""Collectively the field for 2026 is
68 - 0 - 0 - 2 this year
Taking out 5% for trainer and driver

Leaves the owner average at $76.54 per start""

Hey Tigger, I found some prime horses for your investment group.
A little work by your special vets and those per start numbers will explode.

Fuck off Chihuahua Cock Complaining Karen, don't you have some Trumpopotamus daily farts to promote....sheesh, what happened lately  ngc3

Heaven forbid we create an opportunity that makes us feel good.

That we dive deep into animal sciences for their well being.

That among other debilitation that there is also focus on reversing the effects of the toxicity and damage of these performance and pain poisons they put in horses to make them unnaturally run faster and longer.

That such an opportunity could be charitable and profitable without handouts i.e. donations, grants, but a self income generating organization.

If it doesn't launch, or launches and fails, but until then it's conceptually wise to "bet" on the efforts towards horses well being!  ;D
