He's been working at Hoosier Park the past couple years and does post-race interviews at Red Mile during their 2 week grand circuit. He's a historian and that doesn't relate to most people.

Harness racing historian, he always brings up things that happened 40 years ago which most people never heard of.

I always viewed Bob as more of a "statistician" than "historian." Doesn't matter, he's been around a long time and has seen a lot. Like anyone in this sport and industry, he has his fans and his detractors. When he used to do the show, if he wasn't in that "stat" mode, I though he brought a good perspective to the discussion. I never thought he was a great handicapper, but that's OK. JMO.

But, being around a long time and having seen a lot, either you learn a lot or you think you've learned a lot, LOL. You decide which category Bob falls into, LOL.
