They are trying to get approval for a new track about 4 miles from their current site. The residents of the proposed area are worried that they will have a casino, and they don't want one. It will be interesting to see how things shake out. The entire situation can be seen by looking up Racetrack moving to Plymouth or Northville Downs proposed new site.

Northville is just staying in the conversation long enough to take another handout from the Department of AG money that comes from Online gambling.  No way the new track ever breaks grown.  They won't even put a warm water handle on faucets in the bathrooms.

I just read in the Plymouth business journal that there has been no contact with the Downs for so long, they will have to apply for an extension very soon. The reps from Plymouth feel that the Downs may be pursuing a different site. Its easy to keep in the loop because the Plymouth folks are always updating their situations in their paper!
