« on: November 08, 2023, 12:35:43 PM »
***PIERRE BOVAY's annual trot brigade in from Rideau in Ottawa, came into Monticello did 'early winning business'.
Both trotters, with recent Monti wins in Bovay's first NY state month, scratched today.
Any word why?

***From friday usta discipline list
Same Northfield pre race ??
*MYERS, HUNTER R CHAGRIN FALLS, OH YOB 1998   Nfld on 10/23/2023 FINED: $100   TALKING ON THE RACE TRACK
*STAHL, RYAN R REPUBLIC, OH YOB 1978   Nfld on 10/23/2023 FINED: $100   TALKING ON THE RACE TRACK
*WRENN, RONNIE H JR. CHAGRIN FALLS, OH YOB 1986   Nfld on 10/23/2023 FINED: $100   TALKING ON THE RACE TRACK

Idle chit-chat is just a way for the guys to pass the time while they are parading in circles. I realize this may look like the drivers are mapping out the race to the general public,so for that reason it shouldn't be allowed for this reason. The penalty should be reduced to $50 IMO!

Apparently you were never a driver. If they are setting up a triple for example, they wait to see the odds before deciding the order of finish.

That was then, 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s!  Past the millennium, not enough money in the pools to make a living off of this!

I’ll even give you the benefit that northfield has bigger pools to make money. However Is the risk worth the reward?  FYI, maybe I am nuts!  Isn’t everyone to some extent??

All the deals were done, but not on the track. 50's all the way to the present.

The horses that are live and dead were done ahead of time but not the order of finish but you go ahead and believe what you want.

LOL. The pools at several tracks are large enough to make nice scores. Today at Monticello, the pools were all over 40K. That is plenty unless you get greedy.
