Couldn't agree more. It's so sad. I don't understand what's going on or their logic behind keeping everything closed the way it currently is. I am a young harness racing fan (extremely rare) and I have stopped going to the track entirely because of how poor the current layout is.
I got kicked out of the paddock during the T-bred meet for having an expired license. All I wanted to do was see the horses up close. Now they have a security guard preventing anyone from getting close to the finish line. I just don't understand it. There are very few young fans like me, and Hawthorne is doing everything they can to ruin my love for the sport.

carey is pulling down some good coin with the status quo....he's got the sports betting at 2 of his OTB's and slots at a few as well...he makes a killing on the slots...plus he still gets his recapture...big $$...plus his % on all the off track wagering is healthy as well.....
He's not gonna change a thing moving forward unless he's forced to...he'll eventually sell the land and retire...you'll never see Hawthorne casino - especially with the city casino coming...
