There are only a certain number of jockies at the track so even in the cheaper races done of the top riders have mounts because it might be for trainers they normally ride for so as a courtesy they ride some of their cheap horses.

because they are there  is 37k pot  and it a win a Saratoga ride to get the better ones most of those trainers in the race have better stock  Jocks are way more loyal than drivers .John V will ride for a lot of small outfits
