Title: Saratoga Race 8
Post by: Bogeyman on March 01, 2026, 04:36:07 PM: Race 8 at Saratoga today results with an "Inquiry" near the finish line between the two favorites one of which is driven by Brett Beckwith #5. Hard to believe the judges did not feel Beckwith's horse did not impede the #3 horse. Looking at the head-on angle the #5 comes out enough to make the #3 horse jump off. Any thoughts on this one?

No.

When they came around the turn the 5 did bear out on the 3, not enough to cause a dq.

Then they straightened out for the stretch drive, and the 3 moved to the left way more than the 5 moved to the right if any at all.

I think the 3's momentum from the first forced bear out didn't help with that horse's momentum being shifted back and forth, sad that it happened.

Post by: remington on March 02, 2026, 01:05:13 PM: Beckwith gets away with that all the time at Saratoga. Friday night he almost took out the whole field at the Meadowlands I think it was the fifth race. They set him back to eighth He has done it to many drivers at Saratoga.
