Wow you couldn’t see how lame the 5 was around each turn fire the vet ? maybe we don’t know how the horse looked in post parade what about the driver ? He didn’t see how lame he was on every turn. But kept urging him going backwards. How bout a year off of driving

Bell Biv Devou knew he was in trouble.  Yet, he kept driving this poor guy. I hope everyone is ok.

Both drivers, Athearn the victim, and Jimmy were off the rest of their drives, any word?

1 of my trainers had a horse in this race, and said Devaux should never have even pulled the horse.

How is there rarely penalties for these idiots who continue to push a lame horse while going backwards?  It’s animal abuse.  The moron vet and dumbass trainer should be questioned also.  Horse didn’t show up at the track and all of a sudden become lame.  He’s a little sore but jogs out of it isn’t an excuse.  If he’s sore leave him home!

LOL  ngc3  Well said!

Devaux is an arrogant prick!  I saw that race yesterday and he should have stopped and pulled up the horse knowing it was lame.  Have to say ahole got what he deserved.   Looks like he got hurt because he is off drives today.   Hope the horses are okay.

Ok give the guy a break he’s from Monticello which doesn’t exactly have to much better horses
Besides there just coming off of a break maybe he’s like the rest of the horsemen living week to week

Curious on why you're on a harness racing category if you like t-breds (throwaway breds).  I know a lot of t-bred trainers and they're all scraping by.  Ridiculous stud fee's, trainer fee's, and you race a few times a year..yeah, keep telling yourself they make money, lol.

What does an outrider have to do with anything?????

Outrider is there to communicate with/help the driver when a horse is uncontrollable, or showing signs of distress, etc.  They also can communicate with officials if they see something going on, or chase after loose horses.

Duh, I know what an outrider's duties are. The point is it wouldn't have mattered whether there was an outrider or not. Thank God stupidity isn't contagious

Feel better now Mike?  I lost a horse at Monticello because they didn’t have an outrider to catch him, so keep your sarcasm to yourself.
And, I was talking about Monticello, not Saratoga, so learn how to read.  Talking about stupidity.

Just goes to show how dumb everyone on here is, that horse hits his knees BAD in the turns, he should have never gone to a half mile track! So who’s to blame really? He hit terrible at Pocono and I believe fell down once at Yonkers!
