A lightly bet race at GP today is that handle, wild.

Good to see Beckwith, Kelly trying...Chisholm, Boyd, all the younger guys are making it happen in the cold!  That $10k tri and $9k .10 super!   tmbz1

I wish I wasn't sour on harness racing, sadly, I am and am not alone.  I can lose a million races in a row and blame myself, but courtesy tucks, interference pulls, beards, funny business, drugs, no tries, 8 second tries...they have a long way to go, Mohawk is dead to me.

Maybe when it warms up I'll do the BigM.

People like betting action and that is what these drivers are delivering.

We see that.

We're assholes, I'm an asshole but not stupid...all the time  ngc3

If lifetime past performances (showing temperature during race) didn't cost an arm and a leg I'd consider being a consistent player at the BigM and give it a go.

I'll call Trackmaster.  Maybe something Gural could look into, pros, big bettor cappers love data, but don't want to spend thousands a season if they could avoid it, well not me at least.

Some of these older horses might show a liking for this climate, at least see if there are patterns.

Gulfstream, Santa Anita...you see what I'm saying, FAST & FIRM, mild weather.

These fuckers destroyed harness racing, CAL EXPO, Pompano, should be thriving now!

Does Jason Settlemoir now announce that running the races quickly like last night will be the norm going forward ?

Its a no-brainer for him.

They finished 1 hour earlier than usual.
The track makes more money with the increased handle
Horsemen get home earlier
The track saves on utilities
The track saves on hourly salaries
The track saves on police details
Everyon wins

NOW WHAT DOES HE SAY?   I predict NOTHING

They moved up post time to 6:00 PM and sped up the races because there was a big snowstorm on the way for the area, so don't get used to it.

If it increased thier handle big numbers, why not do the same next week?  With the Meadowlands, it's all about trying to minimize thier losses from harness racing

dear jason
you just got a free test market yesterday
do the same next week and see what happens
only an idiot would ignore the results and automatically go back to the norm

Increased handle was cause of reduced signal traffic.  turfway and Charlestown cancelled. Not cause they moved along faster

Good point PRW, I made the same before the Pegasus card, they'd probably go over $50m because of...and their lead into BigM to.
