What an industry this is as you have to assume every winner is a BEN JOHNSON clone with different levels of drugs in their system, When commentators can come on and say that i love this Burke horse as he is going from a CLASS 7 DRUG USER TO THE top of the class BURKE stable and is my best play of the day and we can hear the truth the game might be playable but the truth can never come out as it is scary,

If one day he gets barred for life the very next day will be like the man never existed and never talked about just like RICHARD MOREAU and BILL ROBINSON as no one ever mentions their existence and they believe that they are upstanding people in this game. They are right about one thing that no one remembers Moreau or Robinson because there are no fans in the game and the year end awards mean nothing to most of the few fans in this game as they mean nothing.

At least other sports mention that these people have cheated and not cover it up and every time someone gets caught in football they will say the player is suspended for substance abuse. In horse racing its welcome back as everyone missed you but no one ever said they left.

If they had 80 percent for first and 20 for second then you would see many changes as the Burke fest would be hell for everyone who is cheating less and then like in a MAFIA case the birds would sing and i do not know of any ex top trainer or driver willing to tell the truth, In sports they are now catching cheats by looking at the gambling and seeing corruption but in harness racing when seeing a horse that should be huge odds and pay 3-2 they somehow do not figure there is a problem and go on to the next race and after the last race goes off you will hear another great night of racing and dont kid yourself by thinking PACER 2 is unique as most horsemen are on the same page and when they dress up in a TUXEDO at years ens to me its the MAFIA awards with people clapping like they do in NORTH KOREA when their leader speaks

When I owned four cheap claimers at Pompano over 30 years ago, there were many wealthy owners and lots of big name trainers in south Florida. But in all the years of following harness racing, i've never seen one trainer as dominant as Ron Burke. It would seem that he has an entry in every big race all over the country. I can't speak to how he gets the results he achieves.

You can't though in harness racing.
You saw what the Noble's did before they got tossed, they could beat any horse on the planet with as bad as a garbage pail.

In defense of Burke he openly admitted he is there for the big dough. If he could forgo elims and get a buy into a final he'd prefer.
He uses guys like Gingras because he's not going to cook his horse they're seeking to still peak in a big race. He's not a hot head and totally with the game plan. Even if that plan fucks the backers, he uses finesse to make the effort look good.
The guy isn't kosher, he could gas to win and lose, some frightening shit! Otherwise how the hell does he win some finals at high digit or double digit odds, because they look impossible.

The one thing i can say about BURKE is that his bills are the most fair in harness racing and have been that way from day 1 and from what everyone tells me Weaver is a very good guy and if he leaves the game its just who is next in line to take his place,
