No frank Harris just had bad horses. Ended up being the paddock blacksmith. He didn't drive too many.

The old Lems 34-1, Sugg 8-1 ex..w/Merriman 6-5 in third slowing the tri price

The only way you can get those prices

There was $105 of tickets on 4/8/9. It was not part of a box or part-wheel as other combos with those numbers had the normal or expected amount wagered on them.

$5 of tickets seems very reasonable, then the Tri pays about $2,500 for a dollar. I'm reasonably sure it's a $100 cold ticket, only thing that makes sense. I know the Ohio Racing commission IS investigating.

The only scenarios where I would think it's a legit ticket is A) Wherever this ticket was bet, there's evidence that some lunatic bet that cold number 4/8/9 for $100 at multiple tracks within the same time period and just got lucky, or B) there are other $100 cold Trifectas on random numbers on random races from the same source. Those are like the "drunk guy" theories.

Otherwise there is ZERO chance that this ticket was punched before the start of the race. IMO the race was 10000% legit and there was no way anyone could guess the outcome until midway on the final turn. So why is there 20x the money on only that one combination than there should be?

they know who had the ticket. if it's a horseman or someone else who may hang out with any of the 3, they got big problems.

the commission came to my barn plenty of times asking to see who I bet because numbers were quetionable. not sure if bennich is still there but they need to do their job.

But if it was a set-up, one would expect controlled fractions and maybe horses sitting 1-2-3 early, or similar. The fact that the last half was about 4 seconds slower than the first half, with the top 2 coming from far back, makes me question it was fixed.
The drunk $100 wagering theory has some credibility.
It would sure be nice if the Commission eventually released its findings. I am not too hopeful.

This may mean something or nothing but there were many people in that winners circle. They just kept coming in. That winner had no shot on paper but there were a lot of people there live to see it. Or, it was onenof those group outings.
