I don't normally discuss politics, but the easiest thing to is blame it on the other party and that works both ways. That's the biggest problem with the 2-party system. If candidates weren't tied to a party and everyone ran as an independent the country would be run so much better instead of hating everything the other party says or does.

Once again, just as a point of clarity.....that case and the complaint was dropped. Twice. When it had been refiled, the defense provided evidence that the alleged witness statement (which was not testimony) could not be corroborated. Of course any excellent defense counsel would look to do that. While that doesn't speak to guilt or innocence, however, in this case, when the case/complaint was refiled, the Judge stated that if the witness statement could not be corroborated, the attorney filing the complaint could be sanctioned. That attorney, a very well known NJ attorney, wrote the court the next day, without any explanation or reason(s), that he was withdrawing the complaint. It turned out that in the ensuing days, a new attorney was hired and even before he refiled, it had been learned that Norm Lubow was involved and prompted the complaint. Very quickly, the new attorney notified the court that he was no longer representing the complainant. No complaint or suit, civil or criminal was ever refiled.

it's ok. I wasn't sure what deal, and to be fair, all people remember is "we gave billions to Iran" because that's how some media outlets and internet pundits framed it. Kudos to South Korea for honoring our freezing of assets; to Qatar for making sure the money goes to needy Iranian civilians; multilateral diplomacy can work sometimes. As a GOPer, i'm not thrilled with this expansion at the White House. And while all monies toward this construction is paid by wealthy donors, it reeks of "favoritism" and "pay to play" by special interests. I support the President on many issues. And some i'm disappointed in. Every President is just a tenant in that house. There's so much else needed to be addressed on the domestic front. For the President, the optics aren't good on this one.
