no thead on the action
how ridiculous is it that 2yo fillies like Loua Dipa going 148 just as fast as aged ffa and 3 yos are going. Not good for the sport at all...see Looksgoodinlou who was 48.3 but an afterthought this year besides the upset in in the kyss final
Brandon Blvd was awesome today and allowed to somehow go off at 10-1 to rally to beat Frantic Hanover while apparently the drivers intend to ruin 2yos like Signal Caller who had the lead then finished 44 lengths back going for an 88K purse
well we get a match race sort of tomorrow in the aged mare division..3 horses...Sylvia, Joe and Yankee B Something who i guess will just sit and watch to finish 3rd and get a check. Not a fan of match races and sometimes nothing good can come from them especially with the paltry purse why not wait until the BC to the real showdown.
Futurity Trot looks wide open. Emotion is probably the best 3yo right now but that post 10 is going to be tough. Is this when Maryland breaks his cherry for the year. Super Chapter got beat last week when he shouldnt be a nobody. Go Dog Go trotted up a fast 49 and change mile but is he tough enough. Wouldnt be surprised if some other longshot wins.
Filly Futurity looks like Delaney Hanover based off last week is prohibitive fave with Yo Tillie rightly opting not to supplement. I dont buy that Ake has What A Bid ready to go off the layoff
I think Periculum and Warawee Michelle trot sub 150 miles and Captain Albano going to assert himself in a sub 147 mile.
did they redraw the Tattersalls..i could have sworn I say Louprint in with Prince Hal but now I see Louprint in with Captain Optimistic and Hal in with Madden Oaks. I say both Hal and Lou win easily in 147.1 miles.
Where is Miki and Minnie...must not be right if Ryder skipped both weeks to save her for BC. Rodeo Drive looks like a beast but I suppose Loulou has a shot here.

I agree. Not a thread about The Breeder's Crown there in 2027 either. Seems strange.

I believe the redraw was because of common ownership, but didn't hear anything beyond that.

thanks....i dont like it..why cant they race as an entry...i think the powers that be demanded Prince Hal and Louprint be split seeing they are the top 2 by a good distance
-
I think yesterday (Saturday) and today (Sunday) will have many owners/trainers looking to put their fastest ever times for their fillies (value for breeding) and top colts. It will be 82 degrees with minimal winds around 1 PM on, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a LouPrint (if he is capable of it) go in 1:46 and a fraction; the purses are not that big relative to BC and others that some have lined up, but the prestige of being able to put up a fast lifetime mark will have SOME of them really gunning.

Should be an open draw. Nice for big owners not to have to race against each other so they can get 1/2 of the purse.

Great to see Bob on the RM Tv screen. Legend but a little too heavy on the statistical stuff.
-
it looked like the 5 won on the photo hmm
-
The first time I met Hollywood splitting clone of tom Selleck lol. I watch the photo again it still looked like 5 .it seems like the photo is before you think the line is hmm?

Race 6: The leaders shit the bed in the last quarter there around 29 and crawling
huge longshot

if your birthday was June 18 you might of had that tri. 6/18 tmbz1 tmbz1

Any more information about this? It does not make sense.

Here is the answer. Mac Nichol is listed as an owner of Lite Up the World. He is also part of the "Prince Hal Hanover Stable" which owns Prince Hal Hanover. Those two horses had originally drawn in in to the same division, but had to be split because of the common ownership.

There was no common ownership on the rest of the card in any race?

thats bullshit..they should race against each other

Boyd horse just totally spit the bit and got swallowed up out of the money and if the horse had a real driver he would have won that race. $35K tri. Love the 86-1 shot winning. Prince Hal still hung tough for 3rd
-
Twin B Joe 52.4 back half...that burst of speed nearing 3/4s was enough seperationg...25. 4 last quarter was able to open up 3 lengths on Sylvia and then hold her off. Slyvia was coming hard with a 25.3 second last quarter of her own but Joe is just so much more powerful
We will see what happens in the BC...probably only about 8 or so going in that one and Sylvia is going to need the better post draw if she wants to win.

Kentucky futurity morning line totals 77 points in an 11 horse field. They must be trying to kill racing by making it the most unattractive gambling option available

Louprint in 146.3......25.4 2nd quarter and 118.4 last 3 quarters and he did it effortlessly. 10 for 10 abd 17 for 20 lifetime and just the BC to go. Is he among the best ever? I think he is better than Confederate.

I think he has more stamina

Captain Albano used hard folded in stretch..just not as good on the mile. Ken Hanover reasserts himself for divisional honors. I find it funny that a two year old filly went faster than the aged pacers.
It all comes down to the BC for divisional honors between Ken Hanover, Maximus Miki, Ervin Hanover and Captain Albano
Where is Sabonis? is he done for

definitely and hasnt been babied either like Confederate was later in the year...Louprint had to come back from that surgery and went 2 heats at the Jug and then didnt miss a beat today.
Burke was asked if this was the last time Louprint would race at the redmile and he said probably but said he likes to race them but who knows. I know a huge stud career is waiting but it would be great for the sport if he came back and raced as a 4YO. I would say that racing wise this is the best horse Burke has ever had. Sweet Lou certainly won his share but he was up and down at 3 and 4 and didnt get dominant til 5.

Confederate is not a great horse. He hid in Lexington then had a fake mark set up by a stablemate.

I hope Burke is able to get agreement to race this monster. He can race another two years and still have plenty of year
As a stallion.
When not both race and breed? Tye industry needs great horses on the track.

It really is amazing how effortless Louprint makes everything look. If as expected he wins the Breeders Crown I would say he should be considered as an all time great.
-
Prince Hal is a cut below but he will challenge him in the BC. I dont see Burke wanting to risk value by having one of his other horses challenge. For a second there thought Swingtown might make him sweat a little but Louprint quickly repelled that notion.

huge mile by Emotion Legacy threw torrid fractions...lock him up BC or not...he is the 3yo trotter of the year...just threw in one bad race in the Hambo.
Maryland another bridesmaid effort. Super Chapter really no excuse 2 weeks in a row...last half was just 55.4
-
That was a class performance and way better than the Melander pair that ran 2nd and 3rd.
-
Just amazing how these horses are front ending these miles. Trotter parked to the half in 53 and not wilting just has me pretty cynical
-
I always wanted to go to the "Red Mile".
-
It's kinda like you're at the Syracuse mile back in the day.
-
If Louprint had needed to go a quicker first Q to secure the point, he may have invaded Bulldog territory. That horse is so damn fast!
-
I had a chance to watch the races from the Red Mile yesterday (between football games) and thought they had some pretty sweet purses offered for owners. I'd say almost all the top drivers were there. Some really big prices. I've been to Churchill Downs and Keeneland but never to the Red Mile.
-
Grand circuit racing at the Red Mile is always very good. The KYSS program is now so strong and offers big money so you have top horses racing there. Between the sale and the racing it's just a great time.
