Should the race declared no contest?
https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BcLM1Lpjg/
Yeh 100% No Contest, the 1 was my key horse, I used the 7 too and got some refunded, but not for those reasons, the 7 taken out of the equation intentionally changed the race dynamic and for safety reasons I surmise, all the jockeys were distracted, just watch there must of been screaming by Adorno on the 1 that made the 7 Sanchez react very swiftly, and the outrider was no help...just pure greed that they didn't want to lose their handle on that race.
Already myself, Birdfantammy have wrote that track off for good TODAY because of it, and that racing sucks there. It's a very uncomfortable track to handicap, not reliable, relatable, understandable... .for me.

Every track Birdfantammy loses $2 at he writes off & swears he'll never bet it again. He's running out of tracks to bet.

While I do agree with this statement, that race should have been a no contest. Period. That track is a cesspool of corruption

HEY DUMB ASS ...NOT A "HE" ..Ever seen a male named Tammy??? just another dumb fuck with no brains on here. And I don't make $2 bets either you MORON so shove it up your sorry ass. I point out corruption at MANY tracks. One thing you are correct on is running out of tracks to bet. Not worth playing this shit anymore. Harness racing is in the sewer and TB is in the toilet and overflowing with SHIT

That's a very tired comment i.e. the $2 wager aimed at an insult. I wish I could hit a p6 with $2 or $1 cold, I wish I could hit a cold super with 10 cents lol.
Regardless my actual tickets wagered were posted as always, but regardless of how the race and outcome affected me, I feel my opinion was objective in watching the race and all its participants, and Birdfantammy and myself and others in our live thread got it right but greed and foolishness got the better of the judges who deferred to the track as they interpreted the race.
We're both eliminating tracks, and many of us as well are doing the same. our choice to put our money back in our pocket or somewhere else. my PARX actual 7th race wagers:
Parx Racing 67.60
Race 7 2.00 EX 1 / 1+2+3+4+5+6+7 NaN.00

I had already read the article and I watched the race because Trig bet on it. I still think a no contest should have been the call. JMHO

That race at Parx should have been a NO CONTEST ...PERIOD!
How the hell do you declare the 7 a non starters and NOT the 1 WHO HAD BROKEN REIGNS FROM THE START
It Made ZERO SENSE as to how they handled it. I did not bet the race. I don't bet Parx. I have FANDUEL on and watch the races ON MUTE because Paquette sucks. I went back and watched the replay and the entire race was fucked up and the outriders were standing around doing absolutely nothing. The track is a corrupt cesspool. It was handled poorly by all!
And it is hard to defend anything Sanchez does ...the cheating POS . He shouldn't even be on horses. He is just as bad or worse than Paco

WELL SAID! There are just certain tracks to AVOID! Look at the news lately coming out of PA. Parx and Presque Isle both caught with cheaters! Buzzers and drugs! Disgusting trainers and jockey colony at both of these tracks. And I would bet money the same is going on at Finger Lakes. All you need is to watch one or two races there and you can clearly see the corrupt bullshit. Trainer colony is corrupt doping garbage and jockeys fix races. And horses run down the track like they have a jet pack strapped to their ass!
It is called process of elimination! I sure would rather have money to go buy a steak and some wine and enjoy a good dinner rather than throwing it away on this crap. The cheaters are killing the sport. Eventually it will be dead. It's really not fun anymore. The constant stiff jobs, drug use and everything else is turning people away by the dozens which is a fact. Handles everywhere prove it. I am playing so much less now and watching YouTube instead lol. FanDump is just on for background noise.

I should clarify. I was not slamming your "$2 bet" The part of the original statement I agreed with is that you are running out of tracks to bet.. which isn't a bad thing. I have a select few I stick with. Finger Lakes is now off my list.

100% totally DISAGREE
1---a broken rein does not mean that horse is a scratch
2--the horse with the broken rein did NOT affect the others horses(except when Synchez helped save Adorno)
3--why would this be a no contest?
4--why would there be a DQ?----who would be DQd?
kudos to Mychel Sanchez for saving a possible disaster for Abner
I don't understand why anyone would think there would be a DQ or a NO contest
do you folks watch races?
we all have our own opinions
I thought Parx made the right decision

You only point out corruption after a losing bet so it sounds like sour grapes. If you get so angry when you lose, you shouldn't bet. Haven't you ever made a winning bet when you were the beneficiary from so called corruption, I'm sure you have and am sure you don't complain then.

All these insiders who are cheating, while they have all these great opportunities for fortune and fame with their talent and effort, and big purses typically welfare defined monies forced legally out of casinos, fees they charge too...they are lower than a common criminal. A street stick up artist with a knife, gun, doesn't ask you for the change from your pocket when they lift your cash.
These fuckers want every penny.
We have nothing to prove, look at any business when the customers stop showing up....dead....I don't see a graveyard anywhere on this planet with patrons flush with cash. ;D

Wrong! I haven't bet a race at Parx, Pocono , Mohawk in MONTHS .,watching yes, betting NO. Also I stopped betting Ocean Downs after the first week. Won't play Rosecroft EVER. Actually I have eliminated Harrington, Dover, Rosecroft,Shenandoah, Ocean, and also Yonkers and Saratoga. I tossed Meadowlands recently also. I scored a couple nice wins at ALL of those tracks in the past and I was a big fan of Pocono and that is where most of my wins came from. I just don't like what I am seeing there now. And the Wagner fiasco ...that is enough to toss all those tracks where he raced. The corruption IS THICK AF at all those tracks. And even when I have won races I have commented on corruption. Look, the cheating, the drug use, all of it..it's just WRONG! They cry when tracks get shut down ..well...duh. People are fed up and done with it. More will close, more will cry but it is no fault but their own!

You, most all of us would never want to see a racing participant injured, become a fatality. Watch the replay and now watch everyone in the race, they were all distracted and some proactively involved voluntarily or involuntarily.
Slow down a bit, video doesn't lie. Not asking you to change your final stance, but know that I have reconsidered over time after 2nd or more looks and taken others views of the actual facts herein i.e. video replay does not lie. Everyone was distracted over a very hazardous safety issue...A horse going at their max speed, a jockey's hands sweating and holding on to the horse's mane and that horse aiming at the grandstand rail.
-
Sorry, but I don't keep inventory of the tracks you no longer bet but I know the list is long and still growing. I do agree more tracks will close in the near future andalso agree there is corruption, maybe not as much as you think but enough. Sometimes a horse runs poorly, and the driver or jockey gets blamed when it's really the trainer who sent out a dead horse. I don't bet very often but still enjoy watching the better races.

I think he made a decision and obviously it was the correct one. We all can agree that Parx is a dump. Their "turf" course claimed a few horses a handful of months ago and they kept racing on it. It was nothing but weeds and potholes. As far as the race goes. I know a broken reign does not equal a no contest, but how often does something like that happen, where a horse intentionally leaves the middle of the race to help another. Its such an anomaly for that to have happened. I cannot remember ever seeing something like that. Where were the outriders? Nowhere to be found.

of course Parx has been a haven for corrupt horsemen over the years, and their turf course is unsafe
originally called Keystone-they never had a turf course until the late 90s
the track made the right call--it was no brainer--no DQ-no "no contest"
Tammy-i know all about Sanchez and Parx and I am not out of the loop
you should stop complaining so much

Set aside opinions...now I'm seeking facts and logic to prevail.
https://www.parxracing.com/parxracingreplays.php (The video replay please default on 9/24/25 and race 7)
The video is 10m 19s, at 25 seconds while on the rail the jockey pulls on the 1's reigns as he is about to go around a turn, they break, now at 30 seconds he veers right sharply and interferes slightly with the 2 & 6 clear as day as he has no choice. No big whoop there on the interference but knowing the 1 is in trouble (the fucking jockey is saying so, warning and pleeing for help) the #2 stops riding his horse and is now just jogging. The 7 goes to help the 1. You can see the 3 looking over as there is a problem out there, not a fucking race, a fucking problem, but then he re-engages. 4 fades and 536 finish, but as soon as the 5 crosses the line he looks back. They all knew but some were in a position to help others couldn't if they waned to.
The judges saved the race track handle from being returned.
They set a precedent to FUCK SAFETY, maybe the horse runs into the grandstand and kills a child, because they penalized the gamblers, penalized the 7 instead a no contests and a do over for another day. Don't help another rider you'll get fucking scratched.
Fuck everyone, let them get injured, die on the fucking track hurt and kill patrons too, begging for fucking help and no one come because they'll be penalized too, I'll bet somewhere the fuck else and give as much a shit about them as they care about me and my fellow gamblers and friends.
You want to see insensitivity going forward this place will get ugly at a level you'll think a savage is a gentleman compared to the monster I'll become.
The name of the horse that won is fitting - ATROCIOUS!

Here is another view on the situation ..
Watch the video again. Sanchez not only put Adorno on the 1 MORE at risk but also put HIMSELF at risk of either clipping heels or colliding with the 1 horse that was galloping at full speed and Adorno didn't have much to hold on to since the reigns broke. Sanchez is NOT an outrider. There are paid outriders for this kind of situation and one of them was coming to help (running behind them). Adorno did the right thing by pulling his horse over to the right out of the race but what Sanchez took upon himself to do was a DANGEROUS MOVE! He could have easily clipped heels or collided with Adorno and both jockeys go flying and get hurt. It didn't happen but could have. Both were lucky. IMO when jockeys stopped riding which you can clearly see on the video and Sanchez pulls his horse out of the race, they should have sounded the sirens and had everyone pull up for safety reasons. Common sense people.
The situation could have turned out much worse, gladly it didn't. But Parx stewards and HISA need to review this race and what took place. There needs to be discussion in regards to how this was handled POORLY and how to make sure this doesn't happen again.

The outrider was never coming in time, way, way too far out of it. The 1 can't pull up and is going at good speed, less and less but still forward and the outrider is 3/8 of a mile back and was in a slow jog to begin with. You don't catch a horse when you give them a head start and the one in front of you is faster.
No need to talk about what ifs, no one was there to help and someone did who has been on a horse 10,000 times.
The 1 didn't do the right thing and pull the horse to the right, he had no steering capability.

. Gotta disagree because I think Sanchez’s actions did contribute to the “1” slowing down. The outrider didn’t seem terribly in a hurry to catch up, either.
Finally, I strongly think this should have been a NO CONTEST race. There is no way of predicting the outcome if Sanchez had remained riding to win. There, that’s my 2.5 cents.
