No Noble. Page 10 drives, Wrenn 8, A Hanners 6, B Miller only 4, Merriman also only 4 [3 of them Beaver]
TwinB _ Sylvia rematch among a lot of good races. Dayton 'IS' slower than Scioto [Scioto HAS to be short]
but it seems to have more horses able to come from off the pace. They are trying nearly rolling 50 cent pic 3's
which you would think would signal smaller pools - payoffs but they paid surprisingly well yesterday.

It is a phenomenal card. Also in race 14 one of the Noble drugged up horses, Anette Lorentzon listed as trainer. Tony Hall driving, Helium N in the Dayton Pacing Derby Consolation

Celtic Spirit is also in Saturday. A.L.'s horses have been racing lights out anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if she's using the same thing at perhaps a lower dosage which brings me to wonder if a conversation between her and Dan went like this.." Dan says this stuff is awesome, what happens when you increase the dosage?"Annette replies " "Never tried to find out "...Dan replies "It's the end of the meet so I'm gonna to find out!" 😉 73cv.2 ngc3

Celtic Spirit is an alternate entry to that race. More then likely will race Friday.

#8 race goes for $400k. Burke has 5 of the 9 horses. Good chance all the purse $ will go to him.
-
Burke 5 you say
The end of harness stakes sounds not far off.
3 max!!!!
Terrific card (except for Burke numerical madness)
Doubt many teletheaters on either side of border will have Dayton on a tv. 7500 claimers at Charlestown, Remington and Hastings yes, Dayton, not so much. Too bad, sad refrain.
-
whach you gonna do when the burkster runs wild over you !!!
lets see how much purse money he takes out of ohio

No shit but noble is on the hot seat. Go figure.

Noble won at 29% at Scioto. 563K in earning & $5,416 per start.
Burke won at 24% at Scioto. 2,291,225 in earnings & 5,036 per start.
It is crazy Burke is never on the hot seat.
Burke has 2,784,526 in earnings...at The Meadows. That is more than the next four trainers combined.
With over 20 horses in I'll pass on watching & betting. At some point I will check the results & expect Burke to have won 3 or more.

Over /under
Burke earned purse money.
Going to be big

amazing performance by Lexus Kody...buried along the rail for most of the race...8th at 3/4s finally getting out and swept the field like they were standing. It was an impossible spot to win. Admittedly overall its a very sorry group of aged trotters.
-
its amazing that Burke has kept Sippinonsearoc away from the grand circuit most of the year insteading gobbling up sire stakes money in 3 different states
-
Burke wins with his 3rd string horse as Searoc folds...no wonder why he has been hiding Searoc from the grand circuit
-
I think we can put the Sylvia is better or as good as Twin B Joe Fresh to bed after tonight. She left them in the dust parking out Sylvia and drawing off. Yes she had the post edge but Joe is just a monster.

Didn’t Sylvia do the same thing like 2-3 starts in a row?

I think the size of the state money and allowing dual eligibility has hurt the sport. The grand circuit races are watered down because you can make similar money staying in your state or going to multiple states.

You are spot on. The state races have impacted the Grand Circuit but the duel eligibility in KY has significantly hurt the sport. Over time it would make sense to move all the decent broodmares to KY and spread the stallions in the places like Ohio, PA and Ontario.

Twin B Joe Fresh has beaten Sylvia Hanover the majority of times they've faced each other and when right is clearly the better horse. Sylvia Hanover ran well last night but had no chance with the trip but ran a big race parked the mile to still finish second.

Joe has only thrown in one real clunker and that was up at Plainridge where it looked like after huge fractions she was sore and lame coming home. Rests helps and even though Slyvia beat her again at the Big M objectively she wasnt that bad. Sometimes we expect them to be superhuman. They all have bad days. Looks like they meet again in Allerage and then in Breeders Crown. I wonder if Twin B skips out on the Fanduel and heads to retirement...does she truly have anything to prove. Usually when the mares get to 6 or older they start losing their punch....see Test of Faith
-
I dont know the series record offhand but Joe has beaten her at least 2 if not 3 more times this year and of course crushed her last year. Sylvia of course was the dominant one at 3. Look Slyvia is certainly a great animal but both of them at their peak, Joe has proven it over time.

yep definitely...alot of horses who arent that good are cleaning up with the Kentucky money and never really dabbling on the grand circuit..then when you have someone like Burke who has 6 or 7 solid horses in the colt and filly divisions for 3 year olds he can spread them apart keeping them from racing against each other all that much while maximizing his earning potential. I guess Louprint will race next week at the RedMile so a possible matchup with Sippin or Swingtown or Heist but wouldnt be surprised if maybe other than Railroad Station the other Burke horses skip it.

Another monster performance from Ervin Hanover...sets up an interesting battle for divisional honors in the Breeders Crown between him Maxiumus Miki and Captain Albano. Ken Hanover did alot earlier but seems to have slipped but I suppose a BC win could put him back in the running for contention.
Looks like Sabonis has gone awol of late.
