Title: Amac/Palermo
Post by: brownmoose13 on September 01, 2025, 11:31:34 PM
When will the Stable sheep figure out that every time ( 3 or more) times that Amac buys a horse from his butt buddy Palermo that the horse purchased is done and the only ones that benefit are Amac and Palermo. The first name escapes me but it was racing at Yonkers and Amac bought the horse for $65K and I was told that Palermo pocketed $50K and Amac $15K. Recently there have been 2...Nasa ( who Amac originally said was not worth $25K but from Fatboy for $30K. The last is Ibelieveinangels, another shady deal. I am sure that the gophers will give some BS explanation as they never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

If you are one of the limited partners, and you have all the documentation-----go lodge a formal complaint with the AGCO, Standardbred Canada, the CPMA, OR and the OHHA. You can also notify the Attorney General of Ontario. If you are not a limited partner.....then you are alleging all of this.....to what end?

^ the first horse you're referring to is a Trotter, & ends with a K
I forget the name myself but would remember if It pops up.

Palermo pawned it off to the stable, who lost money on it then sold at a loss, I'd have to think.

I think you are thinking of Kings County.  He currently stands is Minnesota

It was a Bob Key bred horse, hence the "K" at the end.
Can't remember the name on top of my head,
Palermo owned the horse and he raced good for him, once he "got sold" to the stable shareholders, it was a huge flop. They kept racing him all over & the horse couldn't function.

You're correct, I'm not sure why I thought it was a Key bred.

stable just bought a baby from palermo and partner
actually looks decent on pedigree and price seems more than fair at $16k usa
how his conformation is would be an unknown
those online sites selling babies makes lots of sense for everyone
especially if they are just average or less quality, why pay exorbitant commissions with horses that will get very few bids
