Title: Always a "bridesmaid"
Post by: dougie on July 26, 2025, 09:29:09 PM
I guess the owners of Baeza can't be to disappointed despite not winning these big races. He's earned $800,000 running against Journalism and Sovereignty and getting those checks. I'm assuming he's meet one of them in either the Travers or the PA Derby. Can he earn a million by years end?

He ain't no bridesmaid, he's a stakes placer that cost $1.2 mil + who knows what training and shipping and vet, stakes entries, and total costs from purchase until racing including racing.  Total of $2mil?

They pushed the shit out of the poor guy today, beat him so bad his head almost snapped off in the stretch staring at Sovereignty pass him with ease.

They could of found graded stakes this horse could of won, made more money, built confidence, build talent.  All wrong for a second tier horse running against a Legend!
