Post by: Racetime on May 04, 2024, 08:11:53 AM
I haven't seen Benson Merrill racing in Maine this year and this weekend there's no Candace Brandstatter racing ?

From what I'm told Benson has his father in law down (Larry Dancer)
Brandstatter had a horse drop dead last weekend I guess In the paddock after a race or qualifier.

On another note my buddy in Maine told me last night a bunch of positives in Maine so far? Any ideas who?

Branstatter gave that horse to much juice, poor horses heart gave out and dropped dead. She ain’t shit as a trainer unless she’s juicing the horse.

Deslandes and Harrington leading trainers.  Dancer is doing okay but lacks that extra Merrill power so far.

She ain't the only one

Would like to see some of the super trainers go a rated mile or assemble a harness

I love when kevin goes dead on big favorites. You can see it coming from a mile away.

Positives in Maine?? Shane Bacon will push those under the rug for his favorites. Believe me, Butterfield is no different than the superstar Board Members. They know how to play the game in Maine. Go to the Ridge, different story. Bull crap racing politics and the horses and honest people suffer. Oh wait, there are very few honest ones left in Maine.

Bangor and Cumberland have a $2.20 minimum payoff for place pools

some of the Sire stakes races with these 1/9 shots--taking $2.20 to place--its actually worth a shot a few times a year of you dont mind laying 10/1...my ADW has been allowing me to do it a few hundred without me getting a phone call

Wat horse
El Jacko N in one of the qualifiers last Saturday.   Finished distanced but must have dropped after the wire or in the paddock.
