My guess $90 and a buyback
-
Definitely a buy back, I'm guessing $88,500.00
-
Which partner is buying back? Pelling or Fiorentino (I think he's Pelling's partner on this horse)?
-
Must be a slow gossip/news week. Second thread about this horse selling on Ongait ngc3
You guys realize they sell decent horses on that site all the time. Not sure what the obsession is with this one??? NT just listed Red Right Hand, talk about that one maybe at least that’s a relevant horse
-
Other partner listed is Bridle Path Stables in NY. Don't know them but probably mostly a boarding facility. If Pelling sees any future for the colt he will be doing the buyback, but I believe he will go somewhere else.
I'd guess 79,500
Closing time is 11 only if you are Central Time.

Also....what will Red Right Hand go for???

Really nice mile at M1 in last.
-
Red Right Hand, interesting horse. Just won at the Big M, nice mile -- after a break in the Borgata -- boring race, no movement, pocket trip, pulled after the 5/8ths, made the lead and that was it, winning in 49 and 1. Tough 6yo, lifetime winner of $450k, won over 100k last year. Nancy has had the horse since day one. He's a racehorse, not a stakes horse. He has won in 51 and change at Yonkers twice, and shows going in 51 and 52 there. Big demand for horses like this now. But, you're buying from Nancy. That bothers a lot of people. Could go either way. I'm afraid he sells for a premium and goes for 150k. Then again, the market is distorted now, so 175 or more wouldn't shock me.
-
On Red I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up over 200,000. He' still intact and being a half brother to Call Me Queen Bee might have some interest from a backyard breeder.
-
Already over $80k and 3 days left. Couldn't have had a better mile to sell on. tmbz1
-
what does it matter? Ongait is so rigged it's not even funny. Your a complete sucker if you think it's legit.
-
Almost 100k now. one minute left
-
These fucks put more time on after each bid...so why have a timer if you can't snipe it?
-
The never ending auction. I never bothered watching before. Every time you place a bid they add a minute and a half .. ngc3
-
Yes why not if it benefits the seller. The goal is to get the most $.
-
How much did Pelling and crew think they'd get for this guy. Price seems reasonable to let go at this point. Horse is fast with no heart...hard to put and accurate price point on that.
-
WILL BE OVER $130,000 . WE KNOW AT LEAST 2 PEOPLE LIKE HIM
-
130,500. Eric Prevost bought him. Good luck getting it back.
-
WHO IS HIS TRAINER UNLESS HE LEAVES HIM WITH PEILING
-
He uses a lot of them and most are suspect for juicing.

Has given a bunch to Mike Hall lately.

Every online auction I have ever seen does the same thing. No different than a live auction gives the under bidder a chance to respond.
-
Ebay does not do this! tmbz1

One of the 33 on the Meadowlands exclusion list...and he was on it for erythropoietin --- along with Dylan Davis, Nick Devita, Gareth Dowse, Jeff Gillis, Brian Malone, John Mungillo, Richard Silverman, Leroy Slabaugh, and...Howard Taylor.

Someone asked Brett and he said both him and the partner were interested in buying him back, each at their own price. So, he wasn't tipping his hand. Why should he. I think Brett expected 80 to 100, was hoping for more, and wouldn't be surprised if it were more, and look.....he got it. 130 is a strong premium for this horse and what he's shown to date. He's got talent, and if he turns the corner, who knows, maybe that 130 looks like a bargain. That site is not anywhere near the " fair and efficient" marketplace some hope for and think. No different than any of the big name public auctions.

200 or more is a very premium price for this horse. But, then again, he's worth what somebody is willing to pay, even if they do bid him up. 200 wouldn't shock me, but it's still a premium IMO. Nothing shocks me these days. Ludicrous can always take on a new meaning. Based upon some the numbers I see, I agree 200 to 225 wouldn't be a shocker.
-

Prevost will only use trainers that are dubious or suddenly hot, that is a pre requisite for him. Has a 40 claiming trotter currently who has been in the last year from Dowse to Engblom to Drennan and now Alexander. This one almost certainly goes to Engblom. One thing for sure is if he is selling, I am staying way clear.
-
Come on you just bought one from pelling that kinda hung there a few starts. pull blood and if the hematocrit is over 48 you just lost 130k. Which it will be or pelling wouldn't have even raced him.

For erythropoietin: Dylan Davis, Nick Devita, Gareth Dowse, Jeff Gillis, Brian Malone, John Mungillo, Eric Prevost, Richard Silverman, Leroy Slabaugh, and Howard Taylor
In NY you get automatic 10 year suspension for EPO--in Harrahs Chester--lifetime ban.
How for eg are horses associated with ANY of the above racing or allowed to race at these tracks??? Even Gillis--races most nights at Yonkers---crickets. Why arent they doing time??

Let's see how Gural handles these people moving forward. Nothing has changed since the original ban, right? If you are correct on NY and Chester (track-specific), then I would like to see Gural do the same.
-
LOL he got run up by phantom bids. There were no live bids after 80K. They just pushed him a bit to see what he would pay. Total sham
-
Has given a bunch to Mike Hall lately.
For opens at Rosecroft that go for 10k and 12 k respectively??
-
Tax Right Off????

Im puzzled as to why Howard Taylor is banned at Meadowlands-but none of the others on the EPO banned list are being disqualified or punished anywhere.. ie Here is Prima Facie evidence of these trainers cheating by buying blood boosters banned by racing. Of course they purchased them to cheat--they weren't using it on themselves!!!--so why are they still racing?
Here is the NY Racing Rule regarding blood or "oxygenating" drugs:
(2) A person who is found responsible for a violation of paragraph (1) of subdivision
(c) of this section shall, in the absence of extraordinary mitigating circumstances, incur
a minimum penalty of a 10-year suspension in addition to any other penalties
authorized in this Article.

Gural only banded Taylor and no one else for buying Peds from Fishman ?
-
Where do you people come up with some of this shit. You get thrown out of any jurisdiction and PA. Chester and Pocono in particular invite you to come
-
Gural only banded Taylor and no one else for buying Peds from Fishman ?
Gural banded everyone on that list.
-
As far as I know, Gural came up with a list -- and everyone on that list was banned. Period. Is someone saying he picked and chose from Fishman's list (not the master list, but the one with the EPO, blood-builders, exotic/designer, illegal stuff)? I didn't read anything about that -- and I am sure if Gural did, the entire industry would hear about it, not just this small part of the harness world, LOL.
-
Red Right Hand...$81,500...and less than 23 hours to go? Things that make you go "Hmmmmmmm" 🤣
-
That did not come from the Fishman list. It if from evidence in the Gianelli trial. From her invoices
-
Didn't the bongiornos meet with gural and get reinstated?
-
Jen has her 4 year old stakes mare in tomorrow at M1 so they must have some agreement.
-
Didn't the bongiornos meet with gural and get reinstated?
yes Jenn cried to Gural like before and he caved and let her back in.

Lost track of this thread. Just checked and Red Right Hand went for 150,500 to Greg Luther. That seems a bargain compared to the price that the underdeveloped one that went for 130,500.
More likely the 130 is way overinflated and really worth the 80 thou we all thought.
-
$150,000 seemed about right- $130,000 for Americagreatahgai n seemed WAY TOO MUCH. He'll win back easily $50,000 due to the classes he fits, but then what? Who knows??? But it did seem a very high price taking form a trainer who is one of the best. Curious who gets the horse next?
-
i dont trust ongait,( or preferred for that matter but at least you can see the bids)
you just dont know what the hell is going on behind the scenes
-
nether at live auctions. People are there strictly to "bid up" friends' horses.

How long will it take to name the 50k back and at what track?? They go fast everywhere, even in the bottom classes!! And you will have monthly expenses to pay also which delays getting your purchase price back.
-
i personally think that Provost doesn't care. He has horses at lots of tracks with a variety of trainers . i don't think they all are making money.
A bigger question is: On Ongate you see a person listed as the winning bidder. Then you see different owner(s) listed when the horse races. Who knows who will own this horse? it could be a partnership, a group, or him. Time will tell.
