Getting ready for the annual Fryeburg Fair here in Maine. From October 1st through October 8th. My wife and i go up with friends and have a blast. It's about 90 minutes through the most beautiful country you'll ever see. But apart from the rides and food, the racing is really great. From the rail to the top of the old grandstand, it is packed with folks. The usual Maine drivers are there and the fields are usually full. So if any of you "ploppers" are going, let me know! I can use all the winners i can get! LOL! Have a great thursday.....Rega rds, Dougie!

You got it my friend!
I saw pictures on harneslink from last year with the mild winter, I think it was at Cumberland and they were racing into Mid December. Showed Bruce way out in front with big puffy snowflakes falling all around him. Looked kinda romantic.

Love Love Love the Fryeburg Fair...Don't forget the Red Dogs!.
Union was sec ond favorite, but I thought they closed it this year.
Presque Isle is also amazing

Fuguzzi, it really is a very special place to live. Very quiet life. If i want action, i drive the 80 miles to Boston!

I love it too Bello! It's the last fair of the season here in Maine. They keep telling us they want to build a small new track here in southern Maine. But i'm not sure that will ever happen!

I spent 20 straight years in Old Orchard Beach for a least 2 weeks at a time when my kids were kids.
Scarboro Downs would be packed with french Canadians.
Also vacation at Millinocket Lake or other lakes up there fairly often. Wife is from Millinocket.

Fryeburg is truly the best. Lots for the family to do but the food prices are VERY high
-
It looks like Ron and Heidi have made it official. Congratulations to the Cushings.

food prices got very high with the new carnival company last year. only 5 days this year so get there early. losing fairs fast so enjoy while still going. oxford, pres isle union all have dropped racing. others close to losing their racing. the fairs signal is out to watch now but its too bad getting info to trackmaster is so slow or sometimes non existaint. i wont bet if i cant get a program. enjoy the 5 days at the burg.
