Yes the Meadowlands will surely top the $4 million mark by a lot tonight and it great so see those numbers. 2023 has been a great year there so far! Yonkers did just under $1.1 million as well.........the final tally was $4,520,246.99 which is reserved for Pace Night usually.

If they are so good, why beg for taxpayers money to bail them out?

Even with Woodbine open the Meadowlands is going great tonight too, Adding Bartlett and Jordan Stratton to the weekend driving colony has been a HUGE plus for betting. The fields are loaded with the top drivers on the East coast weekends and that matters when bettors can have a shot from any post.

Rain and wind made for weather that was lousy, but betting was anything but Friday night (March 3) at The Meadowlands, as a 2023 industry-high $4,519,050 was pushed through the windows on the 14-race program.
Wagering was vigorous from the get-go and remained high-energy all night long as all harness eyes were on The Big M signal with Woodbine Mohawk Park having canceled due to inclement weather. Saturday night (March 4) was also strong led by a $45,254 carry over in the $.20 pick 6 which resulted in $4,063,548 total handle.
"We couldn't be happier with the wagering support from our loyal fans," said Meadowlands Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir, "The pick 6 carryover certainly helped us top $4 million last night. We have asked Jim Lawson, the CEO of Woodbine Entertainment, to consider switching Fridays and Saturdays at Mohawk to Sundays and Wednesdays so as not to compete with us, but he has turned us down."
