For qualifyers, do trainers need a driver's license to drive their own horse in the race?

I Remember a female leading trainer several years ago that nobody thought ever sat behind a horse .
Her name was Monique Bernardi who's father 👨and son race in Michigan.
BERNARDI HAD AN ILLINOIS TROTTER SOUTHERN ROCKETTOP THAT A BOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WRITTEN ABOUT .
Not sure what happened to her ....

i would think she would have to actually jogged one before sitting behind one in a qualifier baby race

Come on guys, the all knowing Jeff Gural, thought she had talent, AND an on air personality. How can your savior be wrong? Couldn't hack it as the on air comedy act, now she is a pretend trainer for her criminal, horse doping father. What a future she has!! Actually would like to see Jenny in the Scripps National spelling bee. "Jenny your word is I" 3/5 she clanks it.
Sincerely, Silent One
