By the time a test comes for what is being used all the big stables are on to something else

Not true, Jimmy, Ronnie, highly intelligent. Can be successful in anything they put their minds to.

Know some of you won't like this, but does anyone really believe that back in the day the great trainers of earlier era's raced on hay and oats? Sorry, they didn't. They all did what they needed to gain an edge, difference being yes they were all excellent horsemen as well. You had to be, the breed wasn't as strong as we see today hitting the ground pacing and trotting. It's all relative to the time guys, those old boys had no problem going in a vein, blindfolding one and pulling out a cattle prod or adding a little something to their feed too. Everything evolves over time, problem now is where is the line drawn. if harness racing still exists in 50 years he will go down as one of the greats from "back then". Is what it is, he's got the numbers and always showed up when the big money was down.

If "highly intelligent" means he is an imperious , condescending, self aggrandizing prick, then he is a member of Mensa.
