Woah! Trump told a rally crowd Nicki Minaj has “one hell of a beautiful ass,” then ordered her to stand up.
The president of the United States said it Sunday at a midterm rally in Port Huron, Michigan. Minaj had flown in with him on Air Force One.
“By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before: Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss. Stand up. That’s hard to miss.”
He said “That’s hard to miss” twice, in case anybody missed it. Then he added:
“I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time.”
He hoped she wasn’t insulted. He’d just said it into a microphone, in front of a rally crowd and every camera in the room.
Nine days before an election that decides who controls Congress, this is what the president chose to say.
Trump keeps coming back to Minaj’s looks. At the White House’s Black History Month reception in February, he went on about her nails: “Her nails are, like, that long. I said, ‘Nicki, are they real?’ … She didn’t want to get into that.”
At a Rose Garden lunch in July, he called out, “Nicki, stand up, please,” and told the room she was “so respected and so hot and so great.”
Minaj once said she’s probably Trump’s No. 1 fan. This is how he treats his No. 1 fan.
She isn’t the only one he’s checked out, either. For weeks, Trump has been describing Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s body at rallies:
“I looked at his ass, and I’ve never done that with a man before.”
Then he added: “Off the record, women yes, men no.”
Off the record, at a rally, with the cameras rolling.
Ten years ago this month, the whole country heard the Access Hollywood tape: Trump bragging about grabbing women in a conversation caught on a hot mic. Now he talks about women’s bodies from the podium.
Trump’s party has spent years lecturing Americans about faith and family values. These are the same people who lost their minds over Barack Obama’s tan suit. If Obama had said anything like this from a stage, Fox News would still be running the clip.
Meanwhile, Trump allies have been floating Minaj as the next press secretary, and Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, posted that they “may have” found one.
So the woman the president just told a crowd to check out is being touted as a possible White House spokesperson.
The midterms are next Tuesday, and this is how he’s asking for your vote.
