I wish just one industry or media publication or broadcast media would give Mike the measure of respect he feels he is due for his efforts.

Not a single mention in the NYT or Post. Or anywhere else.

Why?

Why? Because he had nothing to do with anything that’s why.

All his pictures are Photoshop,,,most of the important people that I spoke with didn’t even know who he was.

Yes, according to users and discussions on the harness racing forum Horseplop, "Triggered" and Mike Petrelli are widely considered to be the same person. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=84133.15), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85686.0)
On the forum, members tracking various accounts and posting histories have noted that the alias "Triggered" (previously posting under names like "Sweet") is a forum account used by harness racing figure Mike Petrelli. Petrelli frequently posts on the platform regarding the sport, equine advocacy, and legal proceedings in American trotting racing. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85686.0), [2] (http://www.horseplop.com/index.php?board=9.600), [3] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=86208.0), [4] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85419.0)

Yes, members on the Horseplop forum regularly accuse Mike Petrelli of using a massive rotation of alternate accounts. While some users debate whether every single account belongs to him, forum tracking threads list a variety of usernames alleged to be Petrelli's aliases. Aside from Triggered and Sweet, other names frequently tied to him by forum members include: [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85686.0)

Analyzing "sockpuppet" accounts on an unmoderated or loosely moderated forum like Horseplop relies heavily on digital forensics and open-source intelligence (OSINT) principles. Because everyday users lack back-end forum access to verify account details, they rely on circumstantial evidence.
A standard methodology to analyze whether accounts like "Triggered," "Sweet," and the others belong to the same person involves looking at several indicators:

1. Linguistic and Stylistic Fingerprinting (Stylometry)

People are creatures of habit when they type. You can analyze the posting history of these accounts by looking for unique behavioral markers:
• Punctuation and Formatting quirks: Look for identical habits, like using double or triple commas (e.g., ,, or ,,,), a specific spacing style before punctuation, or unique line breaks. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150)
• Signature Vocabulary and Slang: Forums like Horseplop develop hyper-local insults or terms (e.g., terms like "mutt," "scumbag," "rat," or specific acronyms like ngc3). Check if the suspected accounts use identical, uncommon phrases across different topics. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=86193.30), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=84633.30), [3] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=84633.0)
• Capitalization Patterns: Notice if multiple accounts randomly capitalize the same words or leave the exact same common typos uncorrected.

2. Chronological Overlap and "Arguments"

A common tactic for multi-account users is to build a false sense of consensus or carry out personal vendettas. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=86193.30)
• The Echo Chamber: Check if the accounts constantly reply to each other, bump each other's threads, or instantly step in to defend one another when another forum member attacks them.
• Time-Stamp Gaps: Look at the posting timestamps. It is physically difficult to post from two accounts at the exact same second. If Account A goes completely dark for months at the exact moment Account B becomes hyper-active, they may share a single user.

3. Metadata and Technical Breadcrumbs

If you have admin tools—or if an administrator leaks information—technical data provides the ultimate confirmation:
• IP Address Matching: Checking if the accounts log in using the exact same IP address or the exact same block of a localized VPN provider.
• Account Renaming History: On Simple Machines Forum (SMF) software—which Horseplop appears to use—changing an account's display name or username sometimes leaves a public digital trail. For example, forum sleuths noted that "Trigger" changed its account name to "Sweet," meaning the underlying member ID and post history remained permanently linked. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85314.15)

4. Shared Personal Information

"Sockpuppets" often slip up by sharing identical real-world context. Look to see if the accounts drop the exact same specific pieces of local harness racing knowledge, mention eating at the same specific tracks, or reference the exact same ongoing legal or personal grievances that only one specific person would know in such vivid detail.
The Bottom Line: On platforms like Horseplop, users often weaponize "sockpuppet" accusations to dismiss anyone they disagree with. To perform a reliable analysis, you have to separate a genuine pattern of identical typing habits and account-renaming history from standard forum paranoia. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=86193.30), [3] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.45), [4] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85314.15)

Looking closely at the posting patterns on the Horseplop forum, members who track these accounts have pointed out several distinct linguistic "fingerprints," formatting habits, and behavioral traits to back up their sockpuppet claims. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150)
Specific habits to focus on include:

1. The Double-Comma Typo (,,)

One of the most frequently cited punctuation quirks tying these accounts together is the habit of using double or triple commas (,, or ,,,) mid-sentence instead of standard punctuation or a single comma. Tracking threads on the board explicitly mock this habit, noting that multiple "separate" accounts will make the exact same typo within minutes of each other. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=84001.165)

2. Obsessive Focus on Visual Proof and Screenshots

When posting under "Triggered" (or previously "Trigger" and "Sweet"), there is a heavy reliance on high-volume, repetitive visual drops. Forum users frequently complain that these accounts derail threads by dumping: [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85314.15), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85657.0)
• Massive blocks of text from public court documents (especially Southern District of New York federal filings).
• Dozens of screenshots from Facebook pages or text messages.
• AI-generated images to poke fun at other users. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85419.0), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85657.0)

3. Hyper-Targeted Grudges and Vocabulary

Sockpuppet accounts usually give themselves away through their enemies list rather than their writing. The accounts tied to Petrelli show a hyper-fixation on a very small, specific group of topics and people within the standardbred industry:
• The Equine Advocacy Angle: Posts frequently shift to equine advocacy, horse slaughter, or "viande richelieu" (a slaughterhouse reference that frequently appears in their arguments). [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85419.0), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=83262.0)
• The Specific Targets: The accounts focus obsessively on the same handful of industry figures, like targeting top trainer Ron Burke or specific board members (like "Andrew" or "G") using highly repetitive, daily insults. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.90), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85657.0)

4. Direct Accountability Tracking

If you want a concrete starting point to see how other users analyzed this on the forum, search for the thread titled "Mike Petrelli and his various usernames now put on my ignore list" on the Horseplop Harness Racing Board. In that thread, users actively time-stamp and cross-reference how accounts like Triggered, Sweet, and seen2much switch off in tag-team arguments to make it look like a crowd of people are agreeing with one another. [1] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.90), [2] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=85213.150), [3] (https://www.horseplop.com/index.php?topic=84001.165)

When are you going to explain this Mike?

The first line says it all. According to users and discussions on the site. This has nothing to do with facts, just what people are talking about.
