Roger is a trotting God!
As a college student, I recall the trek to Liberty Bell circa 1972 when a young Roger Hammer would ship in from Wheeling Downs, home, like Georgetown (Del) of $500 purses. He was seldom bet, and had good horses like Butlers Luck at that time. Any of you old fogeys remember, like this old fogey does?
I think I can do you one better. Those same summers I raced against Roger and his dad Clay at the PA. fairsDo you remember the trotters "In Command" and "In Control"?They each won about twenty races at two and three at the fairs for The Hammers.
