Canadian 'border rules'---
« on: October 13, 2026, 04:43:13 PM »
Canada can turn away people with felony convictions like Trump's.
Canada's border rules can turn away visitors with serious criminal convictions. A petition to keep Donald Trump out of Canada pointed to exactly that rule, because a New York jury found Trump guilty of 34 felonies.
Former Saskatchewan Liberal lawmaker Gerard Aldridge started the petition over Trump's threats against Canada, and more than 66,000 people backed it. Ottawa never used the rule on Trump, who came to the G7 summit in Alberta.
Should Canada's border rules apply to a US president the same way they apply to anyone else?

There are commercials being played on Buffalo NY radio addressing this issue!

The Canadian government should check the Americans coming into the country and enforce this!
Their country, their rules.  Also ends the arguments of favoritism!

Legally, they don't have to and they shouldn't have!

FYI, I was in Buffalo NY quite a few times this past summer 2026!

The radio commercial is played constantly!

This isn't right/wrong, good/bad, it's simply what it is!

We do.
It's believed Trump entered the country on a diplomatic passport fearing his personal passport would be denied.

Canadians find aspects of daily life frustrating, such as high taxes, formalities, and the need to remove shoes indoors. Economic development is also uneven between regions

But many are realizing, even as Trump besmirched the U.S. and U.N. alike, there is a new “leader of the free world” on the scene.

Mark Carney did not speak at the General Assembly, but he did hold bilateral meetings and a press conference. In the process, the Canadian prime minister gave some measure of hope to those — including many Americans themselves — who see the U.S. as a threat to world peace and yearn for something better. “This is, in many respects, a time that comes once or twice every century,” Carney told the media gathered in New York. “What comes ahead, it’s not wishful multilateralism, which defends only the status quo, nor a cold realpolitik that dismantles the status quo altogether. The alternative that Canada and many others are pursuing is values-based realism, an approach that’s both principled and pragmatic.”

In a surprising announcement on September 23, 2026, President Donald Trump declared that he is abdicating his role as the leader of the free world, a title long associated with the presidency of the United States. Speaking from the White House, President Trump cited evolving global dynamics and a renewed focus on domestic priorities as key reasons for stepping back from active international leadership. This development signals potential shifts in the United States’ position on the world stage and has already sparked wide-ranging reactions from allies and adversaries alike.

In just a month, Donald Trump has obliterated the position and role of the U.S. as the leader of the free world, which it has occupied since the end of World War II.

Now that U.S. commitments are untrustworthy, there will be a geopolitical realignment among other democratic countries
