More evidence harness racing is thriving
« on: Today at 08:52:40 AM »
"A new record average of $199,883 was the top line number from a terrific opening session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale held on Monday night (Oct. 5) at the Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion."
Unreal.

 :(

This type equine treatment priority, neglect and the horrible creeps here and outside of here should be exterminated.

Reading a Dennis Laterza interview with the DRF biggest takeaways....Don't fall in love with the horses.  Used to be fun now just a job (Yonkers $$$$$$$$).

Dump fliers off of this shit at every fucking track casino and watch the one armed bandit old ladies crying and taking their dollars to bingo.  Have the news run weekly stories that mention the current legislature's names, corporate executives, regulatory too responsible for this horror, greed and corruption.

I am a lifer, so I am not changing my livelihood any time soon. LOL. I just don't think day one of the Lexington sale is reflective of the business. It's kind of like saying the # of $5m homes sold in PB, FL is reflective of the entire real estate marketplace. Are small segments of the business-----for certain people-----thriving? Yes, absolutely. For Steve and Cindy Stewart it is, LOL. Are small segments of the sport thriving? Different story. Before the entire sport and business thrives, it first needs to purge, contract, and re-build. JMHO. That and $5 gets you a fancy drink at Starbucks. LOL.
