BREAKING: Republican monster Ann Coulter sounds the alarm for her party about an electoral "bloodbath" in the midterms "like we haven't seen before."
And she wasn't done there...
“Since Republicans are about to be completely wiped out in the midterms, this is going to be a bloodbath like we haven’t seen before,” Coulter said on her podcast.
She placed a large portion of the blame for the impending MAGA wipeout on Trump's disastrous, self-destructive war with Iran. Although she was once a fanatical supporter of his, and even penned an idiotic book entitled "In Trump We Trust," she has soured on him in recent years.
“We have replaced the leadership, the mullahs running Iran with either the equivalent or worse mullahs,” she said of Iran. “We’ve made Iran way stronger. Turns out they don’t even need a nuke. They can just shut down the Strait of Hormuz.”
Sidestepping the fact that Coulter is a racist, bigoted, Islamophobe who sees Muslims less as human beings than as boogeymen, her analysis is correct here. Trump's war has been an unmitigated failure. Benjamin Netanyahu convinced him that he could win a quick, splashy victory by murdering the Ayatollah. Instead, we've been dragged into yet another Middle East quagmire that is gobbling up our blood and treasure while decimating the global economy. We have gained nothing but misery.
Coulter said that Trump was "well warned" about what would happen if the Strait of Hormuz closed, but he proceeded with his war of aggression nonetheless. Now, gas and grocery prices are through the roof with no sign of relief in sight.
“People who had no idea how much money our country gives to Israel—that has become a campaign issue in places like Michigan and whom AIPAC gives to,” added Coulter. “This has been a disaster for the Republican Party, a disaster for Trump, a disaster for Israel, a disaster for American Jews.”
Again, this woman is an odious fascist of the lowest order, but she's right insofar as this Iran War has been a disaster for Israel's perception in the United States. A Marquette Law School poll found that 59% of American adults now view Israel unfavorably, compared to just 29% who view it favorably. Those numbers were unthinkable a few short years ago.
As for her broader point, she's right that Republicans are heading into a shellacking this November.
