A couple of wagers i'm making for opening week in the NFL
« on: September 07, 2026, 09:30:36 PM »
Here's my first two bets for opening week.....

Falcons at Steelers Under 42.5
After watching Tua in the pre-season, I think you can expect very little points coming out of Atlanta.
The Steelers defense is tougher than people think.
$100 on the under 42.5
Steelers 20-13

Bills at Texans (-1.5)
Bill live underdogs against the Texans this week.
I have the Bills going 14-3 and winning the AFC title.
$100 on the Bills +1.5 to win outright
Bills 27-17

Good luck everyone this week!

It's difficult to get fired up early in the season because a single injury to a single person can derail a team. Good luck to all involved!

Yes, I was just happy to cash both those bets. I'm a Chiefs fan but wouldn't touch them against Denver this past Monday.

  • dougie: I think that people should applaud anyone interested in the welfare of horses. Carriage or racing horses. To this day, I've never understood the venom spewed against a guy who seems to want to clean up racing. Some might question his motive for his advocacy. But why would anyone care if the result benefits the horses? If you attack the "messenger' in a cause, shouldn't the detractors have a valid reason why they attack him. Or is it only personable. I never met Mike. But I think his wanting to do the right thing is admirable.
