BREAKING: JD Vance Says We're About to "Celebrate" the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
JD Vance chose an odd word for one of the most solemn dates on the American calendar.
Speaking at a rally, the vice president told the crowd, "9/11. We're about to celebrate the 25th year." Not commemorate. Not honor. Celebrate, for the anniversary of a terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.
If Joe Biden had used that word for 9/11, it's hard to imagine Fox News letting it go anytime soon. A gaffe like that from a Democratic president would likely have run on a loop for days, dissected segment by segment as proof of carelessness or worse. From Trump's own vice president, it barely registered as news.
Words matter, especially on a day this solemn. Vance picked the wrong one, on camera, in front of a crowd that didn't seem to catch it either.
