Didn't the McCarthy's start this way as well as Dunn?

Actually Luke McCarthy came over before Andrew and then Todd a few years later. Dunn came from New Zealand. Think they all came because the money is so much better over here.

Yes it’s awesome to see the better ones race but really to the harness race gambler what’s the difference between a mile in 55 or one in 50?Actually, the cheaper races allow you to toss out 1/2 the field whereby the better classes do not.’
I enjoy a mix of some of each.

Yes, Luke drove Muscle Hill to victory in the World Trotting Derby (I think that is what it was called). Sears was supposed to drive, but if I recall, the races were delayed at Duquoin and Sears had to leave for Mohawk drives.  Greg Peck contacted McCarthy, who was in the country and on his way to a sports bar.  McCarthy drove like 4 hours and made it in time to drive and get the win.  Not sure why Luke never came over for more time.
