Donald Trump sued the BBC for $10 BILLION.
And apparently nobody explained to him the tiny little detail called DISCOVERY.
Because now the BBC wants testimony and records from Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner, arguing they have personal knowledge relevant to Trump’s claims about January 6. And serving those subpoenas? Apparently that has become its own fucking scavenger hunt thanks to Secret Service protection and security blocking access. The BBC has now asked a federal judge for permission to serve them through alternative methods like email and certified mail. (AP News)
Trump’s lawyers, naturally, are calling this “harassment.”
Sir.
YOU FILED THE FUCKING LAWSUIT.
You don’t get to kick open the courthouse doors screaming, “I WANT TEN BILLION DOLLARS!” and then act like somebody violated your privacy when the defendant starts asking questions.
That’s how lawsuits work.
You sue them.
They defend themselves.
Discovery happens.
Witnesses get questioned.
Documents get requested.
This isn’t harassment. This is the FAFO portion of civil litigation.
And the absolute best part?
Trump wanted the BBC in court.
Well, congratulations.
They showed up.
And they brought subpoenas.
