I’ve been lurking on this site for awhile and finally registered after seeing this thread as it got me thinking about my 35 years in the sport of harness racing. Here are my top 3 I’ve seen in person.

Precious Bunny - 91 Meadowlands Pace. Can’t believe he hasn’t been mentioned yet
Moni Maker
Miss Easy

Honorable mention: Nine Across - She’s the reason I got hooked on harness after my $2 exacta paid $100.40 at 17 years old at the Meadowlands.

Billsmafia, Danny Row Gil wasn't the greatest but I agree he was one of the toughest racehorses in his day. 2 nasty bows and a miserable disposition, I think everybody who owned him made money. Rowcliff's and Gillard's, Elba NY

Jupiter, you are correct about Danny Row Gil. He was tough and mean. Extremely mean.

From Dictionary.com:  Ornery is an adjective used to describe someone who is bad-tempered, irritable, and difficult to deal with. It can also refer to a person or animal that is stubborn and hard to control. I'm surprised there wasn't a picture of Danny Row Gil attached to the definition.

I've seen just about every great horse since the early 60's. Yes, I am an old piece of shit. One horse that should be mentioned is Golden Receiver.

Niatross at the LBJ..I was 6 years old lol

Artsplace..at Scioto. Massive crowd at Scioto that night I was 16 or 17

Peace Corps at the LBJ..was barred from betting. Still the prettiest trotter I've ever seen and the way she stretched her legs and neck out gives me chills to this day.

Others have done honorable mentions.. so I didn't see him mentioned..
Life Sign at the LBJ and Scioto. Great horse and tremendous heart going against the Robinson machine. Riyadh and Presidential Ball. One of my favorite years watching racing
