Only you can make that decision.

Just think of others on plop if you choose this.  They should have a right to polite replies and rebuttals from others here.  As of this moment in time, you will not do!

Choose your own course of action.  But don't blame me if you choose wrong!

Maybe people shouldn’t stake/enter horses that aren’t stakes material.  They aren’t there to give participation ribbons.

Wrong again.

I just posted information for others to read and draw their own conclusions!

You're the one who TROLLED and ruined it!

You don't even have the decency to politely banter on this!

Again, blaming me for the problems you caused on this thread.

You have been repeatedly told that I will get the last word in on you!  You have repeatedly chosen to disregard this information.  You have nobody to blame but yourself!  Stop blaming others for this, be a man and take accountability for your actions!.  You refuse to do this!

It's a shame that you have to belittle yourself because you don't like me, and what I post!

It is a total crapshoot from year to year.

Take New York now.

Look at the small fields at Buffalo tomorrow 6-24.

These are the 3 year old trotting divisions.  The breakdown is listed above in this thread.

Take the 3 year old cold and gelding pacers in New York.

A maximum of 12 in the pacing division right now and in the low 20's in the excelsior.

In a weak year, you're better off racing excelsior for more money instead of nw1/nw2 overnights.  More money and perhaps the same quality fields and if you're a little lucky, there is a 100K final down the road available.

They have to make the race more competitive for ALL of the entries and not just have those that get screwed with the outside posts being 'filler' material for a bigger field.

A prime example of this just occurred this past Saturday at the Meadowlands. The great trotter YO Tillie and the nice pacer Fallout, each drew post 10 and had NO shot to compete 20 yards after the race started. The owners put up nominating and sustaining fees then $3000 and $4600 entry fees respectively to start in the race, in addition to being shipped to the racetrack. They lost the moment the post positions were drawn and this should change with reduced fields for paid in stakes races, not overnight races, ESPECIALLY for 2 year old stakes races with them being quite immature mentally and physically to begin with.  Instead of 3 EIGHT horse fields on a 1/2 or 5/8 track, there should 4 SIX horse fields which is much more fair than what is going on for years.
